From Amish Country to Your Door: How Your Furniture Makes Its Way Home

Understanding the Amish Outlet Store Shipping Options

Buying handcrafted Amish furniture is an investment in quality, craftsmanship, and pieces designed to become part of your home for years to come. But once you've found the perfect dining table, bedroom set, or home office piece, you may be wondering:

How does Amish furniture get from the workshop to my home?

At the Amish Outlet Store, we've designed our shipping and delivery options to make bringing your handcrafted furniture home as simple as possible. Whether you prefer convenient curbside delivery, full-service White Glove delivery, or picking up your furniture yourself, there are options to fit your needs.

How Is Amish Furniture Delivered?

Most Amish Outlet Store furniture is delivered blanket-wrapped by professional furniture delivery companies. These delivery partners cover most of the continental United States and are experienced in handling and assembling Amish furniture.

Blanket wrapping provides an added layer of protection during transportation, helping keep your handcrafted furniture protected as it makes its journey from the workshop to your home.

And there's something special about knowing where that journey begins.

Our furniture is handcrafted by Amish builders in Ohio and Indiana, with orders shipping from our warehouse in Smithville, Ohio.

3 Ways to Get Your Amish Furniture Home

We offer three primary options for receiving your furniture: Standard Residential Curbside Delivery, White Glove In-Home Delivery, and In-Person Pickup.

Let's break down what each option includes.

1. Standard Residential Curbside Delivery

Looking for a straightforward and affordable delivery option?

Our Standard Residential Curbside Delivery is $249 per invoice and is available to most ZIP codes in the contiguous United States. Your furniture will be delivered as close to your home as possible and unloaded from the delivery truck.

With curbside delivery, you'll be responsible for:

  • Moving the furniture into your home

  • Bringing the furniture to its desired room

  • Completing any required assembly

This option can be a great choice if you have help available to move and set up your furniture once it arrives.

2. White Glove In-Home Delivery

Want to leave the heavy lifting to the professionals?

White Glove In-Home Delivery is available for an additional $199 and provides a more hands-off delivery experience. The delivery team will bring your furniture into your home, place it in the room of your choice, and fully assemble the pieces.

For customers purchasing large dining tables, bedroom furniture, entertainment centers, desks, or other substantial pieces, White Glove delivery can provide valuable peace of mind.

There are a few exceptions: delivery teams do not assemble baby cribs or furniture that must be mounted to a wall, such as Murphy beds.

3. Pick Up Your Furniture in Smithville, Ohio

Prefer to handle transportation yourself?

Customers can also choose in-person pickup at our warehouse in Smithville, Ohio.

If you select this option, you'll need to bring a suitable vehicle along with furniture blankets or other wrapping materials. Because our furniture is not boxed or packaged at the warehouse, you'll want to make sure your vehicle is properly equipped for transporting your pieces safely.

For local customers or those who prefer to coordinate their own transportation, pickup can be a convenient alternative.

How Long Does Amish Furniture Take to Arrive?

One of the most important things to understand about Amish furniture delivery times is that your furniture is handmade.

Unlike mass-produced furniture sitting in a distribution center waiting to ship, many Amish Outlet Store pieces are built specifically for your order.

Most furniture can take approximately 3–6 months to be built, while custom pieces may take longer. Once your furniture is completed, delivery generally takes another 2–3 weeks.

That means the wait isn't simply time spent waiting for a truck. It's time spent building your furniture.

From carefully selecting materials to crafting the individual components, the process takes time because quality craftsmanship can't—and shouldn't—be rushed.

What About Quick Ship and In-Stock Furniture?

If you love the quality of Amish furniture but need something sooner, our Quick Ship and In-Stock collections can provide alternatives to the traditional custom-furniture timeline.

These collections feature select pieces that are available for faster fulfillment, making them an excellent option when you're furnishing a space on a tighter timeline.

Whether you're searching for a bedroom set, dining table, living room furniture, or a home office piece, exploring Quick Ship and In-Stock options can help you find furniture that fits both your style and your schedule.

Why Professional Furniture Delivery Matters

A handcrafted solid-wood dining table isn't exactly the kind of package you'd want tossed onto your front porch.

Amish furniture can be substantial, heavy, and carefully finished. Professional furniture delivery helps ensure your investment is handled appropriately throughout its journey.

With blanket-wrapped delivery and experienced furniture delivery partners, your piece receives specialized attention from the moment it leaves the workshop until it reaches your home.

Choose the Delivery Option That Works for You

Whether you want affordable curbside delivery, convenient White Glove service, or the flexibility of picking up your order in Smithville, the Amish Outlet Store offers multiple ways to get your handcrafted furniture home.

And while delivery is the final step in the purchasing process, it's also the beginning of something much more important: living with furniture made for your home.
